Diaphragm seals are provided in the instruments like pressure gauges, switches, transmitters in order to isolate the sensing element from the main service due to its corrosive, viscous and sedimented nature and to avoid clogging and solidification. This kind of sanitary diaphragm seal is widely used in viscous & corrosive services where flushing is required periodically & frequently.

Description

The diaphragm seal can be used at thick-walled or insulated locations in pipeline and vessel construction. Mounting of the diaphragm seal to the measuring instrument may be made via a direct connection, for high temperatures via a cooling element or via a flexible capillary.
